I wish there had been a photo in the book as well b/c I am clueless what these were supposed to look like. Yours look good, though, I will say that! I liked reading about your additions, always such fun to see what creative people choose to add in, etc.

I’m seeing many flat biscuits today – which makes me happy that I skipped them.

Cookies are always good!

Your title cracked me up. Good idea adding the orange. I think I might do that next time.

Methinks sweet potato does not a fluffy biscuit make! Your cookies look delish, though, LOL.

You crack me up – love that you called them hockey pucks in the title to the post 🙂 Your additions sound great! I think a lot of people struggled with these this week, me included.

I made mine with pumpkin, undermixed, even tried the floured towel trick and…no dice. Totally hockey pucks. Oh well.

I never like to see anyone else have problems with a recipe, but it does feel nice to have company. Mine WERE hockey pucks, not regulation hockey pucks, but good enough for a street game. Onward to the cherry torte!

Oh, hey. Thanks for the shout out. I couldn’t tell you my secret though. It was completely accidental. I only baked two.

Hockey pucks, HAAAAAAAA! Mine look like wee misshapen frisbees. You are not alone. In fact, in visiting various blogs I’d say the people who were successful were in the minority. Makes me feel less bad. 😉

Darn that they came out as hockey pucks. Mine were the flattest biscuits I’d ever made too, but still good.

Hey, mine were hockey pucks, too! I just figured the vacation had affected my baking skills.

Sorry they look like hockeypucks, but the spice additions sound delicious. Besides it’s always better to have something that tastes great rather than looks great : )
