Love it! You didn’t have to take a picture, your words were enough for a good hardy laugh! I’m sure you’ll knock it on the head next time!

I am so sorry it failed.

Mine didn’t, but I didn’t like it.

I’m sorry it failed. I am lactose intolerant, but for some reason when the milk is heated or boiled, it doesn’t give me a stomach ache anymore. Maybe you could try it again with normal milk if you have time.

Thanks for the tip. I was going to try it with soy milk and switched to regular at the last minute (just in case).
See you next week for pie!

Not a rice pudding fan, so this one did not endear itself any…sounds like you are thinking it deserves another go around, however, so maybe you will enjoy it the second time around. What a drag to have a milk allergy…hope he doesn’t suffer much because of it…we drink a lot of milk around here, so we would all be very sad to have an allergy to it!

Success or failure, I’m giving you props for your experiment!!!

I’m lactose intolerant, and would have been jumping for joy if the almond milk worked. Oh well, I guess I’m stuck taking tons of lactaid in order to enjoy the rice pudding.

I’m sorry it didn’t work out! And I have to agree with your thoughts on disturbing the culinary universe… I just happen to think that ALL rice pudding does that! haha!

Well you just saved me hours of heartache. A client has requested rice pudding for a “Home is Where the Heart” is goodbye party for her sister and brother in law who are moving overseas and she is allergic to dairy. I was going to use almond milk to give it a try but now I don’t have to! Thanks so much for guinea pigging this.

I just couldn’t get enthused about the chocolate version, even though I love chocolate. Photos of the chocolate version support my case. The fruit one was actually decent, but I think I prefer tapioca. Maybe soy milk or rice milk (ha) would work for you.
