Oh, I am so happy you liked this! I wanted to like it, really, I did. It wasn’t chocolate…yeah for me…and it was lemon, my favorite flavor! But, it just was too eggy. Darn. I love flan also…must be all that syrupy goodness…LOL…it doesn’t taste that eggy to me. This tasted like lemon eggs. Anyway, I am really glad that you liked it because it was so pretty and creamy and easy! Mark is really liking it a lot! More for him!

Wow, how cool that you’ve added another one to the “top favorite Dorie” list! My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe also. But there’s a very small fan club with this recipe! Mine didn’t taste “eggy” like eggs, and I’ll bet you didn’t think that about yours. Makes me wonder if other people’s tastebuds are THAT much different or it the custards themselves differed? Ah, one of those mysteries, I guess! Your custard is beautiful, btw.

I also liked it. The flavor was very mild so you really had to ‘look’ for it, but it was good. Yours looks just perfect.

I’m glad you liked the custard. Yours looks perfect. I love the vanilla flavoring too.
