Phwoar!!! I am seriously impressed with how big you were able to get your layers. I have made this twice now, and both times they were rather flat. Beautiful cake.

Looks good, I find that when I feel a cake is too sweet, I like it better cold out of the fridge the next day.

wow–such a tall, pretty cake! i’m sorry you didn’t like it because it was so sweet…some cakes are like that, aren’t they?!?

My layers never come up that much. Beautiful. It IS a sweet cake. I cut the sweetness by using Lemon Curd on 1/2 of the cake. It was just right.
